- Abstract
Harmonising sustainability goals with economic concerns is the aim of the Green Economy. Developments in climate change adaptation in particular have revealed the potential of this type of economy. As various examples in the report are intended to show, environment and economy are not incompatible; and this is not only true for the Alpine region, but can also be transferred to other regions.

The XIIIth Alpine Conference in Turin set up an ad hoc working group to prepare a report on the green economy. The group was supported by the team of the Permanent Secretariat. The long version of the report is available in English, a full summary is also available in German, Italian, French and Slovenian.
